Paysite owners?

I'm thinking about starting up my own, and I was wondering if any paysite owners wanted to chat (ICQ) to maybe offer some advice/guidance and answer some of my questions.

OK, new approach: I'll try and ask some specific questions and maybe someone will have an answer.

What are the methods by which paysites attract customers (traffic)?

Are there affiliate networks that I could submit my site to? (ie: webmasters go to network to find sites to promote...they create a referral, I pay the affiliate site who pays them)

Does PPC produce a lot of paysite sales? If so, has anyone had a good experience with a particular PPC service?

Before I start a paysite, I'd like to figure out how I'd promote it (and what it might cost).
