My name is Tony and I currently run ChillAxen.com. I coded the site 100% myself from ground up using PHP/MySQL and it currently has, though small, a very dedicated user base.
The original idea of the site was a small community of friends that hated all the constant errors/downtime/sloppyness of the competition site, but it became very obvious to me the potential the site held as it continued to grow, with no work once so ever by me. Now that I see how much potential the site actually has, I plan on re-coding it mostly from the ground up to introduce a version 2.0 that is better setup both marketing wise and search wise for members.
This will include key features like relevant word searching, Geo-locating to find events/users/ect by distance, and many other things I would prefer to talk about in private.
In order to do this, I would really like to take on board a few different people who are willing to work with me on the project to make it a success/revenue driving site. What I need is definitely a designer who not only is good at design but has the marketing background to understand/self analyze what is good for the form and to get people to join/use the site. Not only just Photoshop wise, but also site layout/object placement. This is a key and most important part of the project so that we can attract new users who goto the site.
We also would like to take on someone who is good at advertising/marketing. A key in growing is getting the site out there. We need someone who can get a steady traffic flow in the beginning stages (whether by word of mouth or legit Internet traffic). I have a bunch of nice ideas for this but also need someone who can come up with there own and has a creative mindset to help target new people.
Finally we need someone who has experience with advertising. I want the new site to be completely setup so that it collect the needed data for analyzing any trends/advertising statistics that anyone could ever want. This person needs to be able to sell advertising spots or have an in with an advertising firm who will sponsor our spots. We will code anything needed to achieve this, but you still always have to have someone who will talk with client and get new advertisers.
Company organization wise, these 3 aspects cover everything that will be needed to achieve success. I already got people in mind for some of these, design being the main one I need.
