    Photoshop Help!

Hi I have a problem with my photoshop 7.0..

it stops after checking the fonts.. I tried uninstalling and deleting the folders in the program files and when I installed it again, the same thing happens..

aside from reformating my whole machine, how can I fix this?

    thanks

Are you low on disk space? Photoshop allocates some temporary space on one of your disks when you start it up, even just to get to the empty start window. On my machine I set it to use a fast disk, so I forget where it puts this by default, but the file it makes is called "Photoshop Temp" (and then a random number after it). It removes this file when you close Photoshop. This may be causing it to choke on startup if it can't allocate enough space.

Alternately, you may have plugins that are causing Photoshop to puke when you start it up, and if they were externally installed or installed by hand, they may not get removed when you uninstalled Photoshop. To make sure, uninstall Photoshop, and then remove the "Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop" folder, since it should be unneeded with Photoshop uninstalled. Then, reinstall Photoshop.

i still have 30 gig of free space..

and after I uninstalled it, I also deleted that folder... but its still the same..

how about in the registry? do you think it does have something to do with it?

some says upon opening photoshop, i have to press ctrl+shift+alt OR ctrl+shft+del

but unfortunately, both of them doesnt work...

I didnt read the link but I think u removed some fonts from your computer. Try to disable a few cpl of fonts in the adobe settings (not 100% sure how u do this on Windows.) After that reboot and try again.
