    Paysite Galleries

Just wanting some opinions on image sizes for paysite galleries. Some of the images I bought are anywhere from 100-500k. Are those files sizes too large.

If so what do you do when you purchase these sets? Should I set up an auto-(forget the term) to run through picture by picture and compress them some?

I don't want to have shitty pictures for my members but also don't want to get carried away.

I purchased memberships at some of the bigger programs and have seen what they do but would like some info from people that run a paysite themselves.

    Any input is appreciated.

You should really try to keep the size as low as possible, without sacrificing on quality. That way it is going to keep your bandwidth usage down, and the pics are going to load faster for your surfers.

There are a number of freeware programs out, just run a search from google.

But 500K is way way to large.

Most people whose members areas I see go for a full size image at 1024x760 resolution. Just don't skimp on the quality and go below 51% optimization.
