Hello, I'm currently looking to have a domain appraised. Where is a good place to have it done? The domain is dancersroyale.com their is a gentlemen's club in Orlando that has been in business for 31 year's. I'm looking to sell him the domain and I just want a reasonable price for it.

    Thank you

        Icann

John, you might want to take a moment to view ICANN, do a google or yahoo search, and look for the sunrise clause. Since you purchased the domain after the sunrise period, I dont think you can expect much. ICANN provides for them to file for resoulution and if so, a panel of one is appointed to review the case. They have to file the complaintaint, once they file the complaint, as the complaintant, you can request a three member panel for the mere price of one thousand dollars, and then it will be reviewed. Be careful about how many people you tell your intent of purchasing the domain was to sell it to what they will consider "the legitimate owner". Its not "legal" in ICANN laws to buy a domian with the intent that you have. You will merely receive zero dollars for the domain and a huge headache for the trouble. The response letter that you are required to write is enough to make someone "voluntarily surrender" the domain, unless its pre sunrise clause, which your purchase wasn not.

If you approach him for a sale, the initial approach will be held against you in their decision, rendering your arguement useless.

If I were in your shoes someone anonymous should push him to "get the domain and set up the site", therefore he would naturaly try to buy the domain, discovering it is owned, and he will use "whois" to find out your the owner and then he will either "make you an offer" or file with ICANN. If I were in your shoes, Id offer him the domain for a few hundred bucks, thats best for the headache recuction in my eyes, if i were in your shoes. It seems best to go to and see what the laws are. Its definitely not "lawful" in ICANN land to buy a domain with the intention of selling it to its "rightful" owner. Before ICANN was created, many became very wealthy by doing this, now that ICANN is here, many become very frustrated for trying to do it and wasting time and money.

        Good Luck

John is 100% correct with "If you approach him for a sale, the initial approach will be held against you in their decision, rendering your arguement useless."

Having said that, put it on Sedo and unload it. Don't advertise what it could be used for.
