haha no you dont. you can have the same setup on both servers working perfectly so the lag is a few hours.

you can have 0 min. downtime, if you change the IPs in the DNS zone on the source server, to point to new IPs.Comment

no downtime at all on a move, as long as both account are active.
For a NEW site, goes from 10 minutes up to 72 hours, depending on who is trying to reach your site ...I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !
