    " Cameras "

Hi I'm about to start shooting for my amateur site and I was wondering would you guys and gals be able to give me some advice on what is a good camera to purchase that works as both a Digital Camera for taking pics and a Video Camera for filming?
    Thanking you in advance.

Cannon ZR45MC is pretty inexpensive, does video in the DV format and will take still pictures. reviews on CNET, etc.

a nice digital SLR camera is the Nikon D100 - for what it does it is very nice for the price, but to go more advanced I still say stay with the nikon cameras. They work great and the support is fantastic if you ever have a problem.

I started up with a Sony PC110. However, the still picture quality wasn't what I wanted. Video quality was fine for the web. Considering I know that lighting is everything. I have since upgraded to the Canon XL1s, I suggest starting out with a 3 chip video camera, and a 4 megapixel digital still camera. Go get a GL2 or vx2000. You want two cameras to get better quality and maximize your time. Get a buddy to roll video or shoot pics. As far as still camera's go get a Canon G2 or G3.

P.S. Lighting is very important. Use an on camera light. Great for upskirt shots.

because stills from a digital video camera tend to suck

For the amateur shoots ... I use a fuji finepix 40i . not to bad quality . 10x zoom etc . best part , its about the size of a cigarett pack .. I take it everywhere I go

it also takes 80 sec movie files and doubles as a MP3 walkman .

not a bad cam , make sure you take the pics in good light with this one though
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

if you have the money i would recommend 2 cameras. for video i would recommend the sony DCR-VX2000, and for stills i would recommend one of the sony cdmavica cameras.

i use a dcr-vx2000, and a cd1000 mavica for stills, and soemtime the quality is so good it hurts my eyes
