Is there any good video tutorials for mastering dreamweaver 8 ?

Hey guys just wondering if any of you use dreamweaver 8? I know alot of you write your code by hand. I plan to eventually get there. I know basics on dreamweaver, but I would like to get really good. Is there any good videos online or ones I can order to learn how to really make nice sites on dreamweaver? Any help would be appreciated.

Pick up an HTML book instead, you'll thank yourself in the long run. I'm sure you can get a gently used one on Amazon for pennies on the dollar. It will help you learn DreamWeaver or any other WYSIWYG web editor, especially knowing what each tag is supposed to do.

Years ago, almost a decade, I bought "The Complete Idiot's Guide to HTML" and it's the only resource I've ever needed.. if it's still in print or you can locate a copy, I highly suggest reading it.

Jeez...easier to learn HTML than Dreamweaver

If I were you, I'd start with Macromedia's Homesite. No learning required...or very little at least.

I code by hand using Dream weaver, it just has excellent color coding and you can see your changes immediately

makes it easier when coding a complicated layout be it in CSS or tables

essentially what you REALLY want is teh video tutorials provided by Lynda.com

                  http://movielibrary.lynda.com/html/modPage.asp?ID=172

                  as an example

I have the one for Dreamweaver MX and a few other ones and it really helped out back when I was learning.

                  hope that helps

also if you are looking on being able to make really nice sites learning how to create layouts and slicing them in Photoshop, or fireworks would give you really good results.
But if quality website design /development is what you need drop me a line I can surly help you

The latter is simply amazing, I think I paid $50 or $60 for it and would pay that 10 times over thanks to what it has done to my web development business

great intros on tables, CSS html as well as image optimization and many many more things

then you'll use dreamweaver as a tool and not a crutch

Notepad is my best friend...dreamweaver adds useless tags plus a bunch of other annoyances. I'de have to totally agree with Dynamix, learn HTML...you really NEED to. If you don't take our advice you'll surely be kicking yourself in the ass later when you realize you could do much more. It really isn't that hard. Take the time...it's well worth it.
