    Help!

    Hello people,

I've just started on a new site (I'm a noob still learning) and I want this one to be database driven.
It's a music site based on reviews and information. I'd like to be able to have a search function where for example I could type in an artist name and pull up all previous articles that mention their name.

My vision is to have a magazine style website where everything is archived and searchable.

Can any of you suggest where I start or post up some links with good tutorials?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

There are some good and cheap search software out there. I've used one called cssearchpro on my private club site. You can set it to search by meta tag or by words in the body of the document. I think it's $99 for the software. Easy to install and customize.

You'll have to google it cause I don't remember the url of the company.

You are describing a blog...use WordPress! It has a search feature built in, and you can organize articles by categories, that you define. Best of all...WordPress is free! Blogs are also real good for pulling in lots of search engine traffic.
