    Image Protection

    Hello all!

I just want to know if anyone out here might now how to protect images from people saving them to their HD besides "NO RIGHT CLICK" javascipting.

IE 6 has that pop-up that will allow them to save, print, email,..ect. Is there any way of stoping this?

Thanks for your time and responses!
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

There is no way really. In order to view the images, their system has to download them.
I've seen some people do stuff like use a java applet to display the image, making it a real pain to save, but it's probably more trouble than it' worth IMO.

If it's truely vital, a java applet, or flash animation with the image imbedded will protect it from almost anything except a screen shot.

You might want to read this thread. The long and the short of it is that you can't prevent someone from stealing your pics, but you can make it very difficult.

            Here, try this link. http://artistscope.com/copysafe/index.html
It supposedly even prevents screen captures. Fairly expensive. I've read it before, but it's been a long time. I think the customer has to download a free viewer to see the pics. Of course the biggest problem is that members won't go for it!

If you get it, let us know how it does.
