Would you actually recommend DreamHost as a decent hosting company? I'm signing up with someone else because I can't stand DreamHost (which I'm on currently) My email will drop out randomly, their upload speed to my FTP server is slow as hell, and I've found my site down a handle full of times. Even when I try adding a new SQL database it takes forever before it actually goes through and is online, same goes for setting up new email accounts. Also whats with the funky user name that you have to use to check your email via a client like Outlook?
A buddy of mine likes them but he is just hosting his own personal site to show pictures of his cats.
I know I just flamed DH, but thats not my intention it's just my experience and if someone else has had better luck with them I'd like to hear it.

Ignore all the above posts as they are just trying to get commissions from sales. I've heard a very large handful of horror stories about dreamhost. I've been with LunarPages.com for over a year and I'm planning to stay with them until they close the hell down lol. Look, no referral link -> LunarPages.com Their packages start at Virtual $7.95/mo, 400GB bandwidth, 3GB disk space, free domain name for life, CPanelX, phpMyAdmin, unlimited sql/postgre databases, + all the rest of the tools you need to run a successful business.

They suck, I used to spend $1000's with them and they ripped me of on a dedicated server, it was more like a dedicated hard drive and root access refused too. I moved to reliablehosting after them.Originally posted by noizeWould you actually recommend DreamHost as a decent hosting company?
