    What makes good Affilate Program?

    As a newbie this is my question.

    What do people look for in an affilate program?

    Is it the quality of the Website? The % payout?

    Is it the conversion racio? If so how is that judged? Forced traffic or really targeted?

    What else would a website be expected to supply?

              Free hosted banners! Most of my affiliate programs do not do this and each one that does is at the top of my list that I grab links/content from daily.

                                  a ready to go description of each fhg is nice too and the ability to get links to the FHGs in a desired format for easy entering into a database

                                          That's good to hear about free hosted banners. That's like the first thing I created when I made my program (see sig.) Not too many FHG's though. I notice the best conversions are people that find a way to include the banner and FHG's or completely go their own way and combine some of the other affiliate content with text on their page.

                                                      I don't see anyone talking about available customer service but I think that's a must. You want to be able to reach someone if you have questions/problems. If you're interested in a pay per impression program (cpm), rather than pay per sale/action (cpa) look at my signature.
