Need help.. modeling photoshoot question

Hi everybody

i am new at this...dealing directly with models and photoshooting content..i am not new at being a webmaster though..however i could use your help with many questions and appreciate the help

Got the models - got the studio - got the equipment and some experience

aiming at making Hardcore boy/girl video clips

1) normally what are the model rates for this ?

2) how much usually do i sell this content at ? (pricewise)

3) what papers should the model provide for me and sign for me and should they provide those papers or should i ?

4) what do i need to sign for the model ? if any ?

All models need to sign an adult modeling release form and you're going to need to get photocopies of their drivers license and another form of ID.

rates vary from model to model..

this model release form...should she provide it or should i provide ? and where do i get it from..are there lawyers specialised in that ? or can i just take one from friends of mine who have been in the business for quite sometime now ? can i ask them for the copy they use and use that ?

also am i obliged to sign anything myself to the model ?

as for the reates i know they vary but usually for a hardcore video shooting with a very good looking and young model... how much would she be paid ? don't want to be ripped off on my first experience going solo .. also how much usually can i pay the video for afterwards ?

my aim is not to sell my content though...it is to make my own pay site but untill then i will be selling some content to make little money to make me go on in making enough content to start a paysite... also do i sell exclusively one copy to one person ? or can i sell more ?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but that first question right there shows you don't know the laws around shooting content. Do yourself a big favor and consult an attorney before shooting your own content; don't rely simply on information you get here. With the heightened 2257 laws, you'll could be behind bars quick without proper guidance. www.xxxlaw.net would be a good start.

As for the release: That's something you have to provide and want to make sure is bulletproof. While a poor release may not put you behind bars, it can certainly open yourself up to lawsuits. This is another job for your attorney.

no offense what so ever,..thanks for the heads up but i am determined to go solo at this point of my life,..regarding laws,..i assume those are US laws..i am in russia and all hosting etc will be also in russia..will those rules apply ?

Personally, I wouldn't want to expose myself in this business no matter where I was living, but I really don't know how the laws would apply to you. If you ever want affiliates living in the US, you better comply with the US laws anyway, if for no other reason than profitability. Are you a US citizen? (your English is too good for you to be Russian). And no matter what, get a good release for your models and keep copies of their IDs...

Thanks for the compliment on my english Model_Perfect.. i am not a US citizen but i lived in the UK for quite sometime...so English comes to me as a first language
I now work in Scuba diving as a scuba diving instructor and underwater photographer part time in the red sea..this is how the whole russian language thing started with me as well...but you don't want to hear me speak russian..well come to think of it you don't want to hear anyone speak russian...very easy language,..easy grammar but the words are just too much and too heavy to pronounce.. lol
i did get some model release forms from some friends in the business in Florida that were made by lawyers and in compliance with US laws..i will custom those to my personal info after seeing a russian lawyer to be sure i did not break any rules in russia either.. ;-)

Hey do you have any good model leads in russia ? i am happy with what i got but i am looking for young talents with innocent faces..not looking for a milf site..so i take my time to gather my content even if it takes a while but it has to be good..any of your models travel to russia if you have young hot ones that is ?

Well, if you're not a US citizen, aren't located in the US, and aren't hosted in the US, then you don't have to abide by US laws. The only reason you might want to comply with US laws is if you wish to have affiliates who are in the US.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can help you with the models. I knew a photographer in Russia who had a ton of models, but none were exceptional and he wasn't very ethical, so I won't promote him by giving contact details.

After you shoot some of your models, I'd love to see samples. Good luck.
