Question concerning bought traffice & logs

Hey there guys. I bought some traffic to try to boost up my blog a few weeks ago. But when I and the group I bought the traffic from compare numbers for that day's traffic, we have widely differing numbers.

I am using AWStats to track the website stats. I even loaded up Webalizer to see if the referer stats were being missed somehow, but got similar numbers as AWStats.

I don't think this group is ripping me, as I've spoke with some others that are using the same group for blog traffic that are doing well with them.

I am currently hosting my blog on a linux box at home, running through my regular cable connection.

So I have come to the conclusion that it is either I am getting traffic that is being blocked (like Chinese) or my ISP is limiting the amount of traffic flowing into my account. The first possibilty, it would seem that the others would be having the same problem (maybe not). The next, I don't really know without asking my ISP, which I don't really want to do. It's still a small site as in number of hits I'm getting, but was wondering if any ISP gurus out there would be able to shed some light on this.

I am currently going to drop the amount of traffic coming in by half to see if the traffic itself from the purchaser continues to show in the logs as less than what is being sent.

My other thought was to purchase a small amount from another group and see if the same problem happens on that end, but don't really want to waste money if my traffic is being blocked through the ISP.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer on my situation.

I'm not sure, but I host on cable connection at home and recently stopped that shit cause of all the damn hurricanes in Florida. I was running over 100 domains from my machine and am moving them to a datacenter with a 100mbps line (not sure how man mbps my biz class cable connection is right now).

I'll post in this thread in a few days once I am able to compare some stats. Also I will be switching from webalizer to urchin statistics. I'll let you know if I notice any difference in traffic....
