    2257 Alias Question

I have two models I want to shoot together. I am cool with both of them, but one is more open than the other. One of the models bf/mgr has 2257 model releases he said he would give me to use. I am comfortable and familiar with my own releases, and so are all the girls who shoot with me.

OK, here is my question. I feel if my less open model had to list her aliases, how would I know if she was telling the truth or not?

She really plays coy with me when she shoots, and does not talk about herself at all. [Yeah, I know, she sounds like a guy's dream come true. Heck, if you saw her, you would probably think that anyway.] Not long ago, I finally brought it up to her that I found out she did an adult shoot. I don't know for sure if she still does them, but I am pretty sure she does. She was totally cool with the entire thing. What got me was she told me the guy in the scene was a friend of hers. Whoa! If she has friends like that, then I would gather she could be even more marketable than she already is, if I tapped into her other world.

I am skeptical that she would allow me to know about her other world, and would not know if she would give full disclosure on a 2257 release with me.

2257 and Model Releases are two separate items.

2257 refers to the Federal law and regulations that require you to get and maintain copies of her ID and other data.

A Model Release is basically a binding contract that allows you to use the images as stated in the Model Release.

Most generic model releases are very open, meaning you can use the images for most anything.

Where 2257 and a Model Release may conflict is that most releases allow the producer to use the images "in conjunction with her own name or a fictitious name"

Meaning, the producer can call her Besty Blowjob if he wants and she may not even know about it. It could have happened months or years after she last worked with that producer.

When answering your 2257 questions about previous stagenames she may not even know what some producers have called her.

As long as you are making a good faith effort to get all data required by 2257 you are fine. She likely did some extreme scenes in the past and maybe isn't proud of it, or doesn't want you to ask for the same.

2257 doesn't call for you to name the scenes she did in the past, just the names she is known to have used.
