2257 Question

If I host thumbnails (not galleries) and link to the hosted gallery which is hosted by the sponsor do I need a 2257 statement? Server is in the USA.

Please let me know the details. Most thumbnails (90x120) show next women with cum on them and some show penises either by them or in them.

I believe ( and I know i'll be corrected if wrong) that you cannot show any explicit pussy shots, cum, dildo penetration (or any other penetration), pussy-licking, lesbian sex, or any such things as these without 2257. And if you do show them, and you do have 2257, you need a warning/splash page.

Thanks for that reply. I have a follow-up question regarding the 2257 policy.

Do I, personally, have to keep the records or can I just request them from my sponsor when/if I become investigated. I'm a small site just starting out but because of this I want everything to be legit from the start.

Well First of all, You probably would want to talk to a Lawyer about that instead of me. I believe however that you, as the secondary producer need to provide a link to the Primary producer (the individual sponsers). Like I said before though. you should really ask a lawyer these questions and not me.

Will do, I've been in contact with my sponsors and they pretty much say its bollocks, lol. And if/when affiliates need 2257 for thumbnails and banners they would contact us all. Others have submitted my url to their 2257 database (like TCG!) of which I can request model information at any time if needed.

So top your hats to the sponsors.

Very true. While being in contact with some more sponsors I've learned that if I link to the provider (the sponsor)'s 2257 statement for those images all is a-okay. So everything is looking good from that. Can't wait to launch the new site, working hard.
