    Charging for 'value added'

I have not found this topic addressed directly in any affiliate programs terms of service.

Is it generally considered acceptable to charge a small fee (to cover bandwidth and labor) to aggregate video and picture clips? The purpose of this would be to make free content easy to find, and therefore get lots of daily visitors.

Just and idea from a newbie, so no flames please.

Surfers are having no problems finding free porn.

I guess I don't understand your question... but it is pretty much wrong if not illegal to charge for access to a site if you are using sponsor provided content.

i definiately do not want to charge for something someone else gave away for free. what im thinking about is more like a convenience charge for aggregating and pushing content directly to someone.

many businesses have proven that people will pay a convenience charge if things are made marginally easier for them.

however, the more i think about it, the more it seems that it would be alot like reselling someone elses free content if the service were not set up in a way that drove signups back to the producers site. after all, that is why the content was given away in the first place.
