Stats Scripts?

I just switched servers. I use to have awStats which rocked, but the new server uses rotating logs and apparently awStats wont work. The host provides WebAnalysier stats or something like that but I dont really like them. Cant break down how many uniques vs visitors i'm getting.

Can anyone recommend a good stats script ?

Awstats, Webalizer, AnalogX etc.

You can setup Awstats with rotating logs, should not be a problem at all

My partner who does all the script work said he had problems with awstats on rotating logs. Apparently its really hard on the server too loading the logs?

Any idea on webalizer, which column would be the unique visitors?
Is it the Yellow Visits column? Or the Orange Sites column?

If you click on the Apr 1999 link you will see that 10087 is the uniques, if you go back to the summary you will see that the orage column is giving the same number

I dont understand:

- why hosts just don't provide it ( with Cpanel)
- why clients choose those hosts
