Offshore Processing: (Companies)

I am new to the business and I am in the process of setting up my company!
I have heard of the advantages to setting up Internet based companies offshore?.
I wanted to see if anyone knows anything about this and if there is any advice to be given?. including: risk, reward, reputable vendors (ie. Merchant banks?accounting services, ect.), things to look out for!

Being in the US you guys have strict financial task forces which make an "offshore" corporation or bank account somewhat illegal. My recommendation is to pay your taxes and stay within your country to be legally compliant
