    meta tags?

    hi ya every body,hope all you gurus are having good weekend?if not im passin out the cold beers lol.anyhoo,shorty of question?
    with the new search engines and there rythyms?do we really need meta tags these days?i think most over look them now right?and maybe just hand full still use them?

    ive only got three links on my site,and all should help boost my rankings,as they seem to come up top notch on engines.
    but do i really need to mess with tags?thnx guyz,and dollz..

    some still use them and considering search engine traffic is gold as far as conversions go I say throw them in, only takes a minute or two and could lead to some more sales.

        I see a lot of people don't use them, I use them and have no idea why anyone would not.

          In a nut shell all you really need is the title tag.

          Most major search engine do not look at meta tags any longer, but there are still a great deal of smaller engines that still use them. I personally only use the keyword and description meta tags on my sites. All the other meta tags are really just a waste of time.

              I talked to some Google SEO pros at SES and from what I was told Google does not use any meta tags for their indexing, but if you have meta tags in your code they will check them for keyword stuffing and other sneaky tricks.
