    Mainstream Shopping Cart Script Suggestions?

Anybody know of any decent (and free, if possible) shopping cart scripts?

Basically, I'm looking for something that requires customers to register an account with thier personal information (ship to/bill to addresses, etc) and keeps account records in a database. Additionally, It'd be benificial of all orders were assigned a unique order number and were also kept in some kind of database.

As for the type of database, even a collection of uniquely named files would work fine. Just something that's easy to keep track of and back-reference when necessary.

It'd be best if the script were in PHP or Perl aswell. I'll probably want to modify some things myself and those two languages favour that kinda thing.

A free script would be preferred, but i'm willing to shell out some dollars for a quality product. So, what's your preference?

    Thanks a bunch!

I was just about to post about shopping carts myself. Glad I saw this thread.

Any other solutions. What if I wanted to verify each order. I guess that would be considered manual processing through my brick and mortar merchant account.
