TGP Startup?

Well I was thinking of dumping some cash into a TGP. I run several non adult commerce sites, but after lurking here for a while I would like to take the plunge.

I'm gonna pickup a rackshack ensim box, get a TGP going, and start hosting as well with ensim.

Got a few questions however, if someone has a min.

1) would I be better to spend $500-1k on an established TGP? I assume I would be better off building my own and learning the ins and outs from the basics. I like to do that with most things, but I thought perhaps it would just be a wasted of time.

2) what script should I start off with? CJ? , I see SO many varying opinons and scripts, I wouldn't mind purchasing a commercial script to start right. I know I have to spend some money here to make money, I don't mind that.

Personally I'd suggest building your own, it's the best way to learn the business inside and out, the more you know the more successful you'll be. "Waste of time" Whats the point of trying to run a business if you know nothing about it?

I don't personally have a tgp, but I'd suggest you check out what some of the more successful tgp's are using, and go from there.

Great, I always try to do things from the ground up, makes things easier in the long run if something breaks down. I am ignorant about this business, just needed some advice.

You can always spend that money on some traffic to feed some trades and get your site jump started.
