search engine?

Ok i'm a little new at traffic and kind of lazy. But not to lazy to forget i'm a webmaster.

So i'm hoping that somebody out there knows where i can get listed on multiple search engine from just one place.

I came across one before but forgot to bookmark it and now i can find it again.

If anybody can help. Thank you.

I heard that google penalizes URLs that are submitted via that method. They much prefer discovering it on their own.

I'm only ranked 7-10 on the keywords I want, so I'm no master. Just what I heard.

i dont think so, but submitting doesnt help much,...
get a few links to your site, have good titels and use textlinks...

you can submit a million times to google it does not matter that /addurl does not even go to any database

They find you if you have at least 1 inbound link from a site on google

When you submit to Google, how do you decide which Keywords you want to concentrate on exactly? And if you make #7-10, that's pretty good. Page #1 is important.

Why is DMOZ important? For the link? Cause when I check that out, I wonder if a regular "Mr. AOL" will go there go search for stuff.

Mr you are right noone goes to DMOZ but Google looks in DMOZ because its all manual reviewed

You should get listed in as many DMOZ directories and you'll be amazed how your google ranking will sky rocket!

Ok - let me try and answer everybody's questions:

1. Google is really the only search engine worth being concerned about.

2. Just submitting to Google will do nothing usless you have links to your site from elsewhere.

3. If the sites linking you site are your own - make sure they are not of the same IP or even class C. Google is hip to that.

4. You are as likely to be spidered into Google if you have good links just as fast as if you submit.

5. Being listed in DMOZ will add relevancy to your site and you will rank better.

6. It is currently thought Google only count links coming in from site with a page rang of 5 or more for link pop.
