Bandwidth Question

Okay how do I increase the cpacity of the Volume of people that can access our site at the same time.... so what I am asking is how to I increase the size of the pipeline to our site?

Is that also a bandwidth issue or is it called something else?

I think that's an issue with the type of server u use... you need a good one to handle lots of traffic

You'll be burning more bandwidth with more people so you have to make sure you have an adequate plan from your host. You also need to make sure you have a decent server that can handle all the requests. Will you be running many scripts, db's, etc? If so, your server can be the bottleneck with a lot of traffic.

Its Bandwidth or the size of the pipe that connects your server to the Internet -- that is raw capacity.

ANd then its server hardware and software configurations that allow you to maximize the amount of throughput that you can run on a single pipe.

Perhaps you are on a 10mbps port? If so you need to be on a 100mbps port. That will allow more people to connect to you. If you are pushing more than 300GB per month I would definately recommend it.
