    Slow FTP-transfer

    Hi guys!

A couple of days ago file transfers to my servers started to go sooooo slow! I use WS FTP, but tried another program (FlashFTP) with the same result. I have tried to upload to two different hosts, so the problem is in my computer somewhere.... I also tried to install WSFTP on another HDD. I have a ADSL line and all other transfers (web browsing, e-mail and gaming) runs smooth!

Anyone have any idea what's wrong? Can it be a "ftp-sniffer" virus or something like that?

I have done virus searches both normaly and in safe mode. I done chkdsk, I have ran all the spyware programs possible, so my PC appears to be clean! Please help! Any suggestions are welcome!

did u tried with another ISP, it is possible your isp to shape your ftp traffic, most ISPs do 1/2,1/3,1/4 shaping outgoing/incoming traffic

if it is not from your isp then it's shure from ur windows, write one knoppix cd , boot, do ftp transfer and see whats happen

Try and change the Port on the FTP.. so that ISP will not recognize it...
