depending on what you are using it for, you may want to try rackshack.net. I get a dedicated redhat boxwith 450 GB for about $100/mo. It's not the fastest or most reliable but for the price, it's hard to beat.

If you don't know anything about Linux, can't install an RPM, upgrade Apache, PHP, MySQL, etc., don't know the meaning of cat, grep, wget, chown, chmod, cron, pico, ps ax, tail, top, .htaccess, cpan, etc., and/or don't have a fast connection, you might want to look into a managed server. Rackshack.nets are *unmanaged* period. About the only support you'll get will be reboots, or the hardware replaced if it goes south. As soon as you edit the httpd.conf file, their end of the support goes away for just about anything else.
BTW, the *1st* thing you HAVE to do when you get the server is edit the httpd.comf file. Go figure...
If you have a dialup connection, you'll never be able to see the logs, other than what you can see by doing a tail on however many lines from the end, since they get big fast. Would take two hours to download the access log for one domain that had any traffic at all.
Be prepared to devise your own backup scheme. I suggest getting another server, and using a script to tar the domains, databases, etc. up and send them to another server. So, for backups, you need two servers. Or, another server somewhere you can send the backups to.
But, bang for buck they're hard to beat. And, you can always get a 10 buck a month ev1 account for any domain and use the 300 megs of user space they give you to store your backups on. They're up to 450 gigs now? Used to be 300.
