    Noob Guide

As we all see the newbies, and people looking to break into this business and wonder the age old question, "Is there any money in porn", most of us answer with the same line parphrased..

If you work hard, you might earn some nickels. Anything worth having requires work. Get used to 20 hour days for 6 months. Get some good (fill in the blank).

We post the same links all the time, and always try and help.. Well, this time, let's put all the links we keep directing em to in the same thread. Then the noobs can read away, and after making some key decisions, we can better help them..

That being said. Any noob, or someone looking to "break into da biz" needs to red some of the following stuff FIRST and then decide if the porn or adult business is for them. Plus it will give you some guidance on which way to go, and then those webmasters in those niches, or TGP/free/paysite/affiliates can better help and answer your questions.

First,.. go to adult webmaster school..

    http://www.cozyacademy.com/
    http://www.adultwebmasterschool.com
    http://www.pornresource.com/archives.php

..and I mean all three. Each has some different tips and help. All are useful.

    Next, a few tutorials..

    Free sites:
    http://gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=318405
    http://gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=430673

    Blogs:
Scroll through this thread for a different niche, and guidence
    http://gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=435271

If you go the way of a TGP, you will need an autosubmitter program..
    TGP Wizards (free) http://tgpwizards.com/accounts/index.php
    Chameleon (monthly) http://www.chameleonsubmitter.com/

If you go with Chameleon, read babagirl's tutorial http://gofuckyourself.com/showthread...ight=chameleon

If you are going to buy traffic for your galleries, or website, you can do it any number of ways. Banner spots on high traffic sites (although effectiveness will vary depending on who you talk to), or you can just buy some. I've personally used Choker Traffic (https://www.chokertraffic.com/webmasters/index.php), and they deliever what they say. There are others out there, I personally just have never used them. But other webmasters have, and most are pleased and can provide you additional resources.

Keep in mind a few things..
No matter what kind of site you start you need to FOLLOW THE RULES.

If you do a free site, you need to follow the format w/o all the b.s. that gets you blacklisted.

Same for TGP's. Make SURE you submit to the PROPER CATAGORIES.

Get a domain name, and host. Webhosts will vary in cost, bandwidth, price plans, partnerships, and so on. Pick the right one for your needs based on the site or type you pick.

    Here are a few threads
    http://gofuckyourself.com/showthread...hlight=hosting
    http://gofuckyourself.com/showthread...hlight=hosting

But I am for certain there are a ton more out there. If you get stuck, just ask AFTER you've went to webmaster school, formulated a game plan, and are ready to execute.

While a lot of us are willing to help noobs who are totally serious in "breaking into da biz" at the same time you need to do some of the ground work yourself. Broad blanket questions will not get you a lot of good feedback because while one webmaster might be good at pay, another at TGP's, link lists, affiliates and alike, we are not all knowing. Plus also keep in mind what works for us, might not work for you. There are simply too many variables. However, most are willing to help, and explain what we did to get where we are in programs, how surfers are lazy, where to place links, and what sponsors are best and so forth..

There ya go newbie. Welcome to GFY and you now have all the links to read through, develop a game plan, see what all it takes to turn a nickel in this business, and see if it is really something you want to get into.

There are tons of things I am sure others can contribute, but I forgot a few key links I meant to include.

    Guide to Free Sites (additional)
    http://www.hqpornlinks.com/webmasters/articles/LL.htm

    Green Guy Resources
    http://www.greenguyandjim.com/resources/index.html

This is very useful for those using free sites as it includes lists to some of the niche groupings all catagorized such as this example.

        True.

Plus there have been a lot of noob questions, and some repeat. That's why I hunted down some of the most useful links from on here, other sites, things in my favorites, and such. While they are not the "key to the city" they are very useful in giving you some guidance, and helping to you develop a good business model if you are looking for success. It's not complete by any means, but it's a good starting point, and answers a lot of the questions you see over and over again.

I think after researching some of the stuff included, it helps people narrow down to what they want to focus on, resources available, and then get to the crust of issues. Or, direct questions that some of the more expereinced can help you with in that field or area (fetish, niche, tgp, pay site, etc.).

General broad stroke questions sometimes are too complex for someone to type out a step-by-step tutorial, or provide any useful help (i.e. what's the best site to do?). The guide's a way to help some who have a lot of questions, and need help, but also to get a better way to narrow down the lazy q&a.

Someone asking some of the questions like, "who the best sponsor", "who's the best niche", and so forth are very broad. After reading some of the information, and going through the resources you can then ask a more direct question such as, "where would I get MILF content", or whatever. Then webmasters in that niche are more inclinded to help with real useable advice. Same for people running TGP's, and so forth.

We are all busy, but if you ask direct questions based on something we actually do (our focus) we are more inclined to answer with real help. So it kills two birds so to speak. Hope this helps!

Great job, but I would say that the most important thing is still a "device" connecting a keyboard and a chair.

                          Thanks gents.

Yep. decent guide for the noobs. Tons of stuff to read through, and after they've done that they should have a better understanding of "this is a business", and the time and commitment it takes to be remotely competitive. So those that are serious should know some of the basics after going through all of this stuff, and those who think you throw up a few nudie pix and plan early retirement should be dissuaded.

Nah. Perhaps a bottle of pain killers, and no-doze... or maybe your hand and a hankie.
