    What would you do?

I signed up with a new hosting company about a week ago. 3 days ago the server went down (including their own website) and since then only my main page is working. If I type in http://mydomain.com/testing for exemple, I get the following message even though that folder is present on the server:

    Not Found
The requested URL /test.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

What I don't understand is that I can connect to my server via FTP but like I said the only page working is my index.html one. On top of that, I cannot retreive my emails anymore, their webmail is not working. I sent them 3 emails (with Hotmail...) so far but I got no answer.

Now I can't submit galleries since my adresses won't work. What should I do? Any idea what could cause this?

    Thanks!

Why not call them on the telephone? Do you have a back up of your website you can load onto another host and dump this one? What is your website's URL? Who is the host?

There is no telephone number on their website...

I could always go to another host but it's kind of frustrating knowing they have my money but I get practically nothing!

URL is http://hotxxxhorny.com, host is vivency.net

If they are not providing the service you contracted them to perform they are in breach of that contract. them not having a phone number is definately not a good thing. Call your crdit card company and explain what happened to them and ask them how to get your money back. I hate having to do a charge back but here I think you are justified. Before you do that you may want to see if they have a listed phone number by calling information. Try 800-555-1212 first then if not try 411 for a toll number. You might want to enter their name and the words "phone number" or "contact number" and google them. Give me the name and I bet I can get you a number for them. :=)

Signed: A PI in the Making!! (nobody's got your back better than you do)

thats what happens when you go to a cheap host. Before you look at a price, you are supposed to check out their support options. Screw price, support is key.
