Making google avoid my splash page

    Hi,

I'm to new to this forum so I'd first like to say hello to everyone.

My website http://dogging-in-the-uk.com has the age disclaimer on the home page. The problem is when google spiders my site it takes my splash page as the home page.

Problem is there is no keyword content so it is impossible for it to get a good se ranking.

Im not sure how to get around this? When you click on the acceptance button the next page is pretty keyword rich.

Any help with would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Chris

probably you could try it with a robots.txt file

    Sample:
This one keeps googlebot from getting at the cheese.htm file:

    User-agent: googlebot
    Disallow: cheese.htm

for more details I suggest you the following site with detailed info about
the robot.txt-file (where I also have the sample from):

Put <meta> keyword tags and/or transparent content on the frontpage. What's your URL?

If your second page is keyword-rich it will rank above your home page, which I don't think should be a problem. Of course, visitors will enter your site through a secondary page bypassing your warnings - if that concerns you?

Remember that Google ranks pages, not sites, so the majority of traffic will come through keyword searches matching your secondary pages.

I know it's not a solution, but something to keep in mind.
