Password sites

Im just wondering about password lists like

Are the links on sites like that legitmate hacks or are they posted as hacks and the passwords given to them by the sites?

They seem like a good way to get traffic to your paysite...

Most affilate sites will yank your codes if they catch you pulling that.

I would hazard that most of the listings there and passwords have been submitted by the site owners. 90% of it looked like a gimic to generate traffic. If there was a major site or two listed there then I would beleive it a lot more.

Hmmm nah, sort of depends - it does probably bring some good traffic, and probably converting better than TGP´s and stuff (afterall its freeriders both places - but the pass-riders are looking for paysites at least).

The downside to it is, that you might expose yourself to a bunch of tricker happy hackers and bruteforcers and whatever, who might spend the day putting pressure on your server trying to get in....

Most password sites have fake passwords leading to other sponsors.

thought that was the case being submitted and not hacked..

I did a test and bookmarked the site after it had been pulled off the pass list and could still get in...

Being pulled from affiliate listing I was only going to use it if I started a paysite a sa way to get the traffic flowing...
