Hey, all -

I have a client who's organized a group of friends together, and they want to make their own content similar to that of Plugin-feeds or something similiar. I think I've got a program figured out from an administration standpoint, but I'm trying to think more techincal here - how is this content regulated? How are users granted access? It can't be relying soley on referral address, as this can be faked.

If anyone can spam me with some information on how this is done, from a technical standpoint, I'd appreciate it greatly. I understand that there are people on this board that are in the business and for obvious reasons don't want to reveal any trade secrets, and I respect that. I'd just like some tips here.
