    legal content document

    Hi
Im looking for a release form which would give me full rights to use written and audio content i buy from any individual who sells it to me.
would i have to get this drawn up specifically for my own use or can i use a general contract?
    any help would be appreciated
    thanks

Any company you buy the content from should fax you the paperwork and have you fax it back signed, Or via snail mail, but faxing is much quicker

Your best bet would be to have a lawyer draft one up for you.

All the generic contracts (which you can buy from Office Depot, Coles Books store or similar) would be just that - generic and possibly fully of loopholes.

you don't need a lawyer, start out by buying a set from a company, and request the license.
Upon getting it from them, signed and ready to go, duplicate it, change the wording a little, and use for yourself

Yip, that is the right attitude ... and when the time comes for you to need a design, do not hire a designer, merely steal his.

yea im not so sure about the idea of ammending another document either.
i tried a lawyer and was told this " We can prepare an agreement selling rights and assigning copyright - and performance rights if it is a recording. Between writing the agreement and giving you advice, expect about $1,500.00 "
now im not sure but doesnt this sound expensive for a document that in essence would cover something that must be seen in adult terms as a common agreement?
ive no real experience with lawyers to say this for certain so maybe someone could let me know.
              appreciate it

I believe that to be a very high price.

Have you tried Ynotmasters ? (I hope it is not a faux pas to mention 'them'.)

I simply performed a search for 'law' and received Adult Law as a result - no idea about prices.

Another idea, there are a few web sites that give away free legel documents. Im too lazy to find them right now, but you can google for them no problem.

Im sure you could find a document pertaining to content licencing, its free, and you wont have complaints from anyone for copying their work
