    Domain Traffic questions Need help

Okay So I have a few domains that have a decent amount of internet traffic.
I am setting up an exchange 2003 server on my internal network.
I have created all my rules and redirects on my firewall to pass all mail protocols to an internal IP address.
Problem is I use presently POP email from a web hosting site.
I want to see if the possibility exists to get all SMTP traffic inbound to that hosting facility to redirect to my exterior firewall address.
From there the redirect can bring it in to my exchange server.
    Can this be done?
24-48 hr global DNS updates but how do I go about testing this on a dummy domain?
I was going to use one of my other domains which dont have any email on them at all, update the MX records and create a few dummy accounts on my new exchange server to see if I can in fact route email in and out of my domain.
My ISP that does my hosting is not being very friendly about all this. Im guessing they dont want to loose the amount of email addresses we pay for per month from them but in my eyes, tough fucking shit, I dont want their spam and virus's that run rampant through their systems.
Any ideas on migrating from pop to exchange?
    Thanks
    Jason
