Well, after repeatedly trying to find a reliable ethical hosting company that will take my biz & coming up empty, I decided to post here.
I'm not what I consider an "adult" site, but a lot of these hosting companies don't want my site on the same server as their vanilla customers.
At this point I don't need a lot of space or bandwidth, but as I grow & expand my vision, I will be having my customers on my server & they will be "adult". Because of that I will also need a lot more bandwidth & space. I also have another 2 smallers sites to launch & one larger one & another very large one that will eventually produce a lot of traffic. This is all in the future of course.
So many people have recommended that I get my own server, but I'm not qualified to run a server & I don't want the headache.
I would prefer someone here in the Toronto area, but will consider anywhere within NA. I would opt for Europe, but I heard everything over there is too slow. The reason I say Europe is b/c I'm scared that in the Bible thumbing US, Bush type people will demand the hosting company provide details on my customers & I just can't have that.
Right now I'm with a company in the States & I would stay with them except that there are times when they are down (2-3 times per month) & then no problems for a few months & that scares me, as I can't be down that often.
I also need a company that answers the phone or a ticket in the wee hrs. of the morning when I'm often working & the only time I know I can reach them for sure is during normal biz hours.
I defintely won't pay these rediculous so called "adult site" prices & I don't want a sleaze type company either.
