Adding Links to a new site ?

Hey all,

Getting my site going - see sig, but would like to add links to other sites that I like and eventually get recipts at one point.
But what is the correct way to get permission to place a text link to another sites. Most TGPs and general smut sites have hundereds of links - do they contact the owners of each site to get permission to link? Do they just surf around and grab links. What's the proper etiquette to add text links to your site?

If you goto my site you'll see that I'm a lonley old fuck with no friends I added the Hun since they listed my first gallery, How do I go about adding links ---- Don't want to cheat..

The point is usually to get them to link to you :-)

one method people have done to my sites is that they will email you saying that they have placed a link to you on their site and would appreciate a recip to them on your site. they then go on to say if you are not interested or would like your link changed, please contact us. if we do not hear from you in 7 days we will remove your link on our site. please use the following html for our link on your site. etc..........

it is sort of a blanket approach, but i'm sure you'll get some recips. just keep track of your recips in a spreadsheet or something.

other sites also have a "add link" form on their site. you can go ahead and fill out the info to add your link to their site, but you have to have a link to them on your site already.

Yes, that is what I have found too. Lots of other sites want a recipocal link or banner and then they will submit yours.

You won't be cheating. It takes alot of work on your part to search the web yourself to find sites willing to take a submission, but plenty are out there.

They will not come to you unless you have big PR/LP, so you will have to hunt them down.
