just curious if anyone could toss a couple tips my way on how to get started. Try not to be too harsh and/or sarcastic. Appreciate any help that anyone could give.

First you may want to mention what you are trying to start

A TGP ? Or maybe a paysite?

I appreciate the quick response. Anyway from what I know about the industry, a TGP would probably be the best thing to start with. I know a couple peeps in the industry and they have had TGP's and are now just getting into paysites. They are already established and going strong. I would really like to be able to get a couple of TGP's going, and hopefully profitable, and then approach my Webmaster friends about working with and/or for them.

Honestly, I would look into developing a number of free sites and submitting to TGP's galleries you have done, to cut your teeth in this racket.

Followed by building a number of successful TGP's would be next in the food chain, It will help shape your expertise in this business and you are also creating a traffic stream for your eventual paid sites.

But what would I know?

Honestly I would love to learn the ropes from someone, even doing the shit, boring work no one likes doing, like updating daily, or some shit like that. Thereafter or in the meantime I could some shit on my own.

erehwon made a good point. Thats what i am currently working on.. a network of free sites and tgp's which will become an adult advertising network for my company.

This way when you want to create a paysite, you already have a means to promote it cheaply

Not only that, its a great way to learn about this industry.

If you are intrested in learning more, i could use some more helpers. Ill show you some ways i promote my own sites, and ill even help you setup your own site, and show you how to make some cash from it

I wouldnt say i am the most experienced web master here, but i have a good head for business, and im diong ok so far

A few more points of advice, Tease them, don't please them!

If you show too much of the girl (or guy) your mark will bust his nut too early and is less willing to pay you to look at more.

Develop a quanity of sites, not just one site is going to make you any amount of money that you can walk away from your day job. Create lots and lots of sites, lots of niches, niches you have some experience in. Mr Izzz comes to mind since I am trying some hard link advertising with him.

There is more than 30 odd sites, those sites again will be inexpensive traffic for pay sites, traffic that he could sell to brokers, hard link sales to other webmasters, gallery sales, etc.

Spend a little time bouncing around sites, and try to reverse engineer them on what makes them successful, and read everything and anything you can, bookmark threads on this board and others, after awhile it all snaps in your head, and stuff learned from adult webmastering applies to mainstream more than you would know.

*Learn HTML
*Grab a sponser: WEGcash is a good one start with.
*Build 2 Galleries/day for TGP's
*Submit 2 galleries a day. (Use Chameleon Submitter + CONFIRMER )

Do that everyday for a month to get the hang of things.

by the way once you are ready to build your first TGP site use Free Comus (http://www.comusthumbs.com)
they are great. Only 2% shave if you register the version

01 : Buy a good set of domains
02 : Rent or buy a fucking good hosting package
03 : Make for every domain a nice design and concept
04 : Be dynamic use PHP or a lot of scripts which have nice effects
05 : SIgnup for sponsors, and make immidetly a page with webmaster refferal links
06 : Grab all free hosted content toghter and make good 400 t/m 500 error pages, fill them with links
07 : make at least on 2/3 domains nice big portals with that free content ( 30 sponsors can give you up to 120.000 links )
08 : Use actuall sponsors like LIVE and MOVIE pimps, and use there resourches
09 : Created at least 1 board to post all your free content in it, and use linkroutes towards linkdumps.
10 : Make at free startpage providers as many as domains you can, create domains every day is more productive then any other action.
11 : Use SHORT REDIRECTION providers for your sponsor url`s while promoting them.
12 : Pay your hosting bill ( its about time now )
13 : Join some motherfucking boards, and make a sig while you dump your postings
14 : Trade traffic with big PIMP and send at least some back
15 : Get a epassporte account
16 : Skipp Paypal
17 : Buy some Chokertrafic ( dont have his adress right now )
18 : go link trade some more, and make more free startpages at pimps offering that service
19 : Search for new sponsor ( GFY hase a nice scroll upper lefto corner )
20 : Dont go chat to much with webmasters, at the end were all competition, and that does not improve trading.
21 : Go do some housework between recieving your email and reading your posting replays, sometimes a amateur fuck up comes back 1 times to you, its better that you balance your energy then.
22 : Make friends by offering them support, not kissass, no site is perfect.
23 : DONT block good ideas, notepad them, and search for a programateur who can do it for some money.
24 : dont spend thousands on design, when you want to buy premade .png files to edit, and make your own, with license, then hit google with the right keywords
25 : Its time for your hosting bill again


Now, having after 3 months 5 good domains, and about 50 startpage domains up and running and you have done your trading every day, and offcourse placed in the beginning all your sponsor content, then you should have some income.

But that toke me more then 6 years to do it.

Traffic and signups and sales
With good quality traffic crossing ofer your website you should be doing nice
Signups wile be generated then, and sales wil appear and stay ( no charge back please )
