.htaccess question

I'm redoing my site at the mo and plan to take the old one down completely. This includes galleries which i will still have hits coming to, I want to use .htaccess to redirect them all to the entrance page of my new site. Is this line all I need?

Still trying to wrap my head round all this....


ErrorDocument 404 http://www.mysite.com/mypage.html


And I upload this in ASCII right?
