Site promotion question

I just built a new link site, and the links are coming in ok, but I want to grow the site a little faster. I have listed it with a few resource sites, but most of them don't like to see their recip buried in a sea of recips.

Anybody have any ideas about how to get good webmaster exposure for a link site?
