Hi everybody, my first post at GFY is a question:
I'm running a small TGP. I was going through submissions last night and came across one that prompted Norton AV to pop up and warn me that a virus had been detected. Specifically, the window popped up twice saying it found Bloodhound.Exploit.6 and twice for Download.Ject.
My first reaction was to blacklist the guy. Out of curiousity I opened up the page again and took a look at the source, but couldn't figure out what was prompting this.
I consider myself to be computer savvy, although I'm not into and don't know much about the shady side of the net (viruses and such). Does anybody know what these specific viruses do? More importantly, how do they get into my computer? Finally, is there any possibility that there might be a problem on my side, and the blacklisting may be inappropriate? I'm new to the buisiness, so I don't want to piss people off if they don't deserve it.
Oh, I'm on Windows XP, and the virus messages only come up when I view with IE, not for firefox. I'll send anybody who is interested the link; I figured it might be out of line to post it publicly.
Thanks!
