Domain name appraisals ?

I'd like to know where I can get an accurate (and honest) appraisal of the value of some domain names I have..?

i'm curious to know how much they would be worth...

also, one of the domain names is also a self-contained business so i'm wondering how that would factor in...cuz if i sold the domain name, i'd have to sell the business...they go together.

any suggestions or places to check out?

Afternic users love to appraise domains, but I wouldn't put any faith in them. Often people appraise 10 or 100 times what I think is likely if the person had to find a buyer in the near future, using "well you never know, maybe some fortune 500 company will want it" reasoning.

If you're thinking of selling them, post them here or on afternic or sedo and see what offers you get. Then that's your baseline for an appraisal...could go higher if you find the right buyer, but at least you know a realistic price if you were trying to sell them immediately.

For the domain with the business built in, selling a business involves a lot of other factors, so I don't think you'll get a reasonable appraisal unless you make a detailed sales presentation.

Post it on the main board, folks will tell you what they think of your domain.
