    2257 Public Comments

As everyone knows, the period for public comment on 2257 ended on August 24, 2004. Now we wait to see with the DoJ does in response to the comments, if anything. We submitted an extensive set of public comments on behalf of our clients, which can be found here:

Of course, the DoJ could ignore the industry completely, and simply pass what it proposed. If we hear anything about what will ultimately be published in the Federal Register, I'll post it here.

You guys did a great job with those comments by the way ;-) ...

I read like 20 of your 37 pages. I thought I had came up with a lot of reasons for 2257 to be all fucked up and wrong .. but jesus.

How in the hell could our damn government fuck shit up so badly :-/

The Free Speech Coalition submitted extensive comments on the pending changes in enforcement of 2257 requirements for adult websites.

Reed Lee, a First Amendment attorney on the FSC Board did an excellent job of analyzing the unfairness of the legislation and its adverse impact on adult websites. Indeed, the comments should be in the library of every adult webmaster as reference material.

Congrats, Free Speech Coalition on a job well done.
