    Best html editor

I've been in the industry for 2 weeks now. I have created two websites, both with Microsoft Frontpage XP.

Is this a good choice of software, or are there better.

    What software do you use.
I was told to use Dreamweaver MX (beta release from Macromedia)

Which editor is best for creating adult websites, and which gives the most reliable results.

    Your opinions are appreciated

I use frontpage 2k and i'm happy with it. I think that as long as you have a working knowledge of html you should be alright with frontpage or dreamweaver, just comes down to preference.

Adult sites look great in Notepad...

You need Dreamweaver + Fireworks or Photoshop + maybe Homesite. Anyway Homesite is better than Notepad.

My favorite is notepad, but once the site gets too big, I use wordpad. I don't know if dreamweaver or frontpage have improved recently or not, but it sometimes have glitches if you copy and past raw javascripts on it.

Yes, there are some bugs with javascripts even in dreamweaver, that's why i've added "maybe Homesite"

Come on, HomeSite rocks! And it's a long time it's a good product.

It's a shame Macromedia bought it

                    Dreamweaver 4 for desing.
                    For little changes -> Textpad.

Dreamweaver will soon launch an Dreamweaver MX with jps-support...

I would recommend that you get a book on HTML and start playing with Dreamweaver. Read all its tutorials and make webpages with it every day. One little tiny page a day. Learn about tables. Ignore everything about frames and DHTML and Flash and video.

Learn HTML, master tables, and play with Photoshop.

                            Keep your designs simple,
                            Vin

I use notepad for the initial writing of the page. Textpad if i have a bunch of shit to edit, especially the formatting of the code (it has funky features to do with that) or if i need to replace a bunch of elements throughout the document (lot easier than changing things one by one!).
