    Question about UNIX and CGI-BIN

    HELP!

I'm setting my site up with Ibills.com and i'm having trouble because my server is a WIN2000 server and they are requesting that my site be on a linux server.

I'm not very good at scripting, etc.

Specifically, this is what they told me: "upon logging in to your server we could not find a cgi-bin. As you may already know this is the directory into which the ibill perl script is uploaded. Without this directory we will not be able to proceed with your Password Management installation. "

    Any insight or guidance?

    Hi There-

If you are on Windows 2000, iBill has a password management solution for you. Either ask your rep or send me an IM. I can point you in the right direction.

      Weppagemaker-

One of our Sales Support Engineers (SSE) can help you through the process of getting our Password Management solution implemented on your WIN2K server. If you haven't already discussed this with your Account Manager, please feel free to contact me and I will make sure an SSE gets in touch with you.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

Ibill does offer support for Windows 2000 servers.

Just like Jeff mentioned, you will need to talk to one of the SSEs. The standard support people will not have any knowledge of this so you will need to call their support line and ask for Darryl.

Firstly, I suggest you telling your host company to install pcAnywhere for you or at least create you as a administrative user for Terminal Services. You too will need a copy of Symantec pcAnywhere.

You will need to give this login or create another for Ibill too, they will need administrative rights.

Now, if you're on a virtual Windows server, your host may give you problem with this login and install. This type of application and process really is designed for the dedicated server webmaster.

I have an extensive history with Ibill and I do recommend them. Their Online Commerce Management Interface is by far one of the best.

Give Darryl (SSE) a direct call. He is the most knowledgeable person when it comes to Windows Password Management installs and setups. Call him at: 954 363-4746
He'll do the right thing. Hey Ibill, you should give him a raise!

        Best regards...

Thanks for the good word about Darryl. He is definitely a talented guy and an asset to iBill. But he doesn't do it for the money. He likes the free passwords.
