    Warning Page - Legality issue?

Is it legally necessary to have a warning/entrance page?

I have not submitted to search engines and was thinking I would submit a url like porntop10.com/enter.html for search engines, but as of now I do not have ANY warning page.

Could this get me into any kind of trouble?

Maybe?? If COPA passes then those of us with them "MIGHT" be able to stave off legal repurcussions but those without definately wouldn't. I tend to always use warning pages because I can hit them with an Ad between the warning page and the main page. And yes, I make sales off of it.

Warning page is a place to give visitors an idea of what to expect inside
Another point - its a great place to put loads of banners there

Your site being a thumbnailed TGP, it's kind of iffy. I would definitely put some legal disclaimers on the main page if you don't do a warning page. But as everyone said, you may as well have one to cover your ass, and throw some extra banners about.

Having a warning page, is more CYA than anything else, a surfer has to make a conscious effort to see the porn on your site, also its a good idea to have your pages ICRA rated.

Depending on where you are, taking these steps will prove you are trying to keep minors out of your site, and those that want to sue porn sites will find someone else without taking all these steps.

Ok, I guess I will add one. Does the warning page have to be the index or can it be a page like "enter.html" where I send search engine traffic?

If someone comes to porntop10.com they SHOULD be expecting to see.... porn.
