Lots of traffic, preferably from sources like search engines, bookmarkers, type-in, quality trades etc.

Good marketing skills. Some types of ads on your site should be getting 20% cick thru to your sponsors, other areas 10% and thinkgs like banners etc. Typically get 1% or less or a bit more.

Then your sponsor will convert anywhere in the range of 1:150 - 1:3000.

If you're not getting numbers in those ranges then you have some real problems with your site.

What kind of link list are you running, hun? Most link lists are for free sites, so they're updated daily with lots of new content. Of course, the LL owner will put his own sites at the top, but he keeps the surfers coming back by offering variety.

To generate SE traffic, try putting your own recip in with 5 others when you submit your own free sites. If they list you, you'll get some nice link pop.
