    text versus thumbnail links

Which tgps tend to do better? Those using text links or thumbnail links? I have a new site www.dreamy-girls.com that uses thumbnail links and I think it might be too graphic intensive. And also I don't have enough space to put in all the categories that I want.

I was thinking about maybe mixing it up with some thumbnails for the daily galleries and archived text links on the same page.

Go look at what the top 100 sites are on sextracker, sexlist etc.

50% or so of the surfers still use dial-up. No matter what you do, TGP, galleries etc. you always need to design for that as you need tons of traffic to succeed.

      Use better text links
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

Agreed. As a surfer/recently turned adult webmaster - i'll tell you I ALWAYS closed out pages of nothing but text links. I want a thumb preview (as a surfer). I hear lots of people talk about how much text links work better but that's my pref.

I would also never give time a day to any site that jscripted their status bar. If i can't see the url i'm going to when i point at it... i won't click it. MMM100 turned me off of that blind-linking bullshit LONG ago, again, from a former surfer standpoint.

I have had luck doing both. I use enough thumbs to catch their attention then have the text links as well. I make sure my text links are not in the same tables as the thumbs so if they have a slow connection the text links are visible as the thumbs are loading.

Have some thumbs to catch the surfer's eyes and some text links to catch the search bot's eyes
