Problems with my old win98...

It doesn't start to make defragmentation of disk... every time it shows me a "friendly hahahahahaha" tellign me that there is an application which is stopping the defragmentation process... but I don't have any application running at the time.. what could I do?

What programm fo you use for defragmentation?

the program which comes with win98 itself...

One of the probs with win98 was that it does not show everything that is running.

Try booting up in safe mode and then defrag.

Also check msconfig to see what realy is running after startup
