    Password Protection

I need a password protection software for my sever

I've used Iprotect, on my last server but I'm
curious if there are any other simliar programs.

I know Pennywize and password sentry work well
but I'd rather not use the mod-rehahahahaha.

    Thank you Inadvance, cnetvisions

Why do you not use mod_rehahahahaha?
I use Pennywise and it works perfectly....

I perfer pennywize for a couple of reasons,
it's browser based and allows more control
and details. However on my last server
I was told it crashed (unrecoverable) because of mod-rehahahahaha
"My hosting company said". I am guessing it
was the AllowOverride command. I also had on another
      server where it worked perfectly.

At times my server could do up to 2 gigs per hour.
Which could cause the server to overload forcing and swap.

Unfortunaly there are no Guarantees, lol

          Take a look at Strongbox.
It's far more effective than PennyDumb or Password Entry.
          You can find more info about it at;

This sounds more like a hardware issue than Pennywise. . . I would add more RAM to that box, make sure it's on a 100mbit port and perhaps upgrade the CPU. 2GB's per hour is nothing we've got servers regularly pulling 12+GB per hour.
