First off, I wanna say I've browsed your board as an oesrver for some time, and thanks to many of you for the small helpful hints. They're more invaluable than you know.
Recently I've become a porn webmaster. I've studied and (at least minimally) perrformed all the tricks of the trade--digital photography, editing software, html bulding software, etc--and have nearly have a funtioning website. Still learning as I go, but I think for one person holding two full-time jobs, I've not done badly. Very humble in my position, as I know I'm the newbie on the block, but I'm very dedicated to learning this trade.
Oh yeah, one absolutely vital thing I've overlooked---marketing!!
I have the site, I have several very attractive girls ready to perform (some in hardcore) and maintain their own personal sites based soley on a percentage cut, but I can't figure how to effectively market a paysite(s) and make a profit. In essence, I have the resources, am willing to work my ASS off to build and maintain a site or multiple sites, but I don't have the know-how on the promotional end.
Right now I'm setting up my main venture to be a free site, and looking to make some money through ad funding and e-mail harvesting. I'm fairly confident in seeing a significant financial return from this project, but how do you run a PAYSITE and compete in such a flooded and competitive market?
Do you work through affiliates? Do you do it yourself through specific avenues? Revenue sharing? I have more than I can handle building and maintaining a site, so how do I find the extra 300 + hours a week to promote them?
I am seriously (and very humbly) looking for any personal advertising tips, and, more hopefully, looking for a marketing partnership with the right person/company with adequate experience. I'm flexible as to contractual terms with the appropriate person willing to deal on the business end.
