Windows Media Server Checker?

I hear that you can get lots of replies on questions here. So here goes:

I have a media sever: Microsoft Sever 2003 the problem I?m running into is that some times the videos I?m serving from it are not working. I?m serving them via mms://

When this happens the service doesn?t stop, just the videos will not play, does anyone know of a server checker for the mms format? Like a program that will check the server ever 10 minutes, if it is down I can reset the service?

First of all find out why its stopping, we use a product from compuware to moniter the mms feeds but I think we paid about 5K for it.
